About the Author: (December 27, 1921 – October 31, 2009), Egyptian philosopher, physician, and writer. He is Mustafa Kamal Mahmoud Hussein Al Mahfouz, from the nobles, and his lineage ends with Ali Zain al-Abidin. His father died in 1939 after years of paralysis. He studied medicine and graduated in 1953, specializing in chest diseases, but devoted himself to writing and research in 1960. He married in 1961 and the marriage ended in divorce in 1973. He had two sons, Amal and Adham. He remarried in 1983 to Mrs. Zainab Hamdi, and this marriage also ended in divorce in 1987. He has authored 89 books, including scientific, religious, philosophical, social and political books, in addition to tales, plays and travel stories. His style is characterized by gravity, depth and simplicity. Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud presented more than 400 episodes of his famous TV program (Science and Faith), and in 1979 he established his mosque in Cairo known as “Mostafa Mahmoud Mosque”. It has three medical centers concerned with the treatment of people with limited income, and many of the people of Egypt go to it due to its medical reputation, and it has formed convoys of mercy from sixteen doctors. The center includes four astronomical observatories, and a geology museum, on which specialized professors are based. مسرحية جسر إلى الأبد – غسان كنفاني تبدو لك من الوهلة الاولي انها تتدور حول الوهم ولكنها لم تكن تتحدث إلا عن الحقيقة .. حقيقة واقع مرير لم يتغير بمرور الوقت فيختال احلام وحياة ابنائه ويدفع بهم اما الى الجنون او الى تمني الموت من اجل التخلص منه .. فارس ليس سوى انت او اخيك او صديقك الذي يتمني ان يهرب من ذلك الواقع اما من اجل البحث عن حياة افضل او البحث عن لقمة عيش يستطيع بها ان يطعم امه العجوز العاجزة فلا يدرك انه بذلك يقتلها بابتعاده عنها فيعيش طيلة حياته بذنب قتلها وينتظر حكم الله العادل فيه .قد تبدو لك انها بعيدة كل البعد عن القضية الفلسطنية التى كرس غسان قلمه من اجل الكتابة عنها ولكنها ليست ببعيدة عن واقع عربي مؤسف قاتم السواد ولا يوجد لمحة ضوء ولو صغيره تستطيع ان تبدد ذلك السواد والظلام .كان لابد أن ابدأ القراءة في العام الجديد بعملٍ لغسان كنفاني .. وكالعادة بعد أي غياب قصير تجذبني رغبة شديدة نحو عالم غسان بكل ما فيه ، بثورته وحزنه ، بغضبه وألمه .. بكل شئ، يشاء الله أن تقع هذه المسرحية “الفلسفية ” في يدي .. والحق أنّي نادراً ما أقف عاجزاً عن كتابة تعليق على أي عمل لغسان لكن هذا العمل حقاً غريب ! كانت تجربتي الأولى لأعمال غسان المسرحية هي مسرحية (الباب) .. ولم تكن أقل غرابة من هذه المسرحية .. شعرت فيها لأول مرة برعب السؤال ، ووجدت فيها غسان آخر غير الذي أعتدنا منه الحديث عن الوطن وعن الأرض وعن الثورة والألم .. ! يقول غسان كنفاني في مسرحية الباب : “الموت! إنه الاختيار الحقيقي الباقي لنا جميعاً،أنت لا تستطيع أن تختار الحياة لأنها معطاة لك أصلاً..والمعطى لا اختيار فيه ..اختيار الموت هو الاختيار الحقيقي، أن تختاره في الوقت المناسب قبل أن يُفرض عليك في الوقت غير المناسب.. قبل أن تُدفع إليه بسبب من الأسباب التي لا تستطيع أن تختارها كالمرض أو الهزيمة أو الخوف أو الفقر، إنه المكان الوحيد الباقي للحرية الوحيدة والأخيرة والحقيقية!” عندما يصبح الموت رفيقاً للعقل .. لا يفارقه .. ولا يبتعد عنه . وعندما يصبح الوهم وجهاً آخر للموت أو قل رسولاً للموت ، ياتي كل يومٍ لتأكيد ميعاد العقاب ، ولحظة الرحيل عن الدنيا ، يأتي يدق الباب ويضحك ، يدق ويأكد بان ساعة الموت قد اقتربت .. ثم يرحل ، ثم يأتي مرة أخرى ليخبرهم بأن الموت ماضٍ في طريقه إليهم .. ثم يرحل .. وهكذا إلى أن يصبح الوهم في حد ذاته أشد وأصعب من الموت يتلاعب بنفسياتهم و أرواحهم الضعيفة ، كأنه يتلذذ برؤية هذه الوجوه التائهة ، وهذه العقول الشاردة ..هل يمكن أن يصبح الشخص أسير أوهامه ، تتغير نظرته إلى الحياة بكل ما فيها ، ويصبح غريباً عن هذا العالم ، منبوذاً من الجميع ، لا يصدقه أحد .. ولا ينتظر غير هذا الشبح المجهول الذي يسمى الموت ! فارس ذاك الفتى المجهول الغريب .. قتل أمه ، أو ربما يظن أنه قتلها غارق في الوهم والتفكير .. هو اخطأ عندما ترك أمه العجوز وحيدة وسافر .. فماتت لهذا السبب ، إذن هو قاتل .. ينتظر كل ليلة هذا الشبح المجهول الذي يأتي إليه ليخبره بساعة موته يوم الثلاثاء عقاباً على هذا الخطأ .. كل ليلة يأتي صوته مع صوت زمجرة الرعود وغضب الرياح .. فيزرع في قلبه الخوف كل مرة ! ،قذف به القدر لتصطدم به سيارة لفتاة تُدعى رجاء .. وكانت لها من أسمها نصيب فهي الرجاء .. كانت طوق النجاة الوحيد في حياته ، صدقته ، أحبته .. ساعدته حتى وصلت للحقيقة .. كأنها النور الذي يكشف الحقيقة ويظهرها ، والسيف الذي يطيح برأس الأوهام ويحرر العقل من أصفادها ..

هناك فى غرفة مظلمة نرى المسجون في زيه الأحمر يصدر ضجيجاً و يقطع الغرفة ذهاباً وإياباً: نعم أكلم نفسي، لم يبق لي غير أيام قليلة في الحياة، ربما ساعات بعدها سأشبع صمتاًلكني لم أشبع كلاماً!. ذلك الطبيب المسكين الذي كان دائماً يد رحمة تمسح الألم امتدت لتمسح ألم زوجة المريض_التي أحكمت غزل الخيوط حوله ليصدق أنها ضحية مع هذا الوحش المريض المسمى زوجاً الذي دمر كل حياتها _ فقتل الزوج المريض ليحل محله ويكون هو الزوج الذي قالت له: حياتي أنا لك إلى الابد! هاهو يدرك أن هذا الابد ماهو إلا شهرين لتصل شكوى من مجهول إلى النائب العام تشكك في موت االزوج السابق و تنتهي بالحكم عليه بالأعدام بعد اعترافه المباشر لظنه أنه أنقذها من يد الوحش الذي لا يرحم و الديوث الذي أرغم البرئية على علاقات مشبوهه لصالح أعماله ليدرك أن حتى هذا الدافع الانساني النبيل كان وهماً! فالزوج المقتول ماكان إلا رجلا طيباً و شهماً بشهادة الشهود ليرى في اللحظات الاخيرة من حياته كم هى بارعةٌ تلك المرأة خططت لتتخلص من الزوج المريض بطبيب غبي لتصل إلى المحامي الشاب الذي تحبه. هذا كان كلامه مع طبيب السجن الذي رق قلبه ليسمع زميل مهنه سابق و طبيب مشهود له و يقسم أنه لو سنحت له الفرصة ليراها لقتلها بيده حتى يشعر أنه يستحق الاعدام الذي سيزف إليه على أية حو تأتيه الفرصة فهاهو مدير السجن يخبر عن مجيئها لزيارته ويستعد ويقنعهم أن يلقاها على انفراد و بين اقتناع المدير و تردد طبيب السجن يذهبون ليدعوها للمجئ فيعودون و معهم شخص غريب يطرح فكرة أن يكون غده على ظهر سفينة فضاء لا إلى حبل المشنقة، فإن نجح و عاد إلى الارض فقد عُوفي عنه و كتبت له حياة جديدة و إن لم يعد فعلى أية حال هو كان سيموت غداً. في الصاروخ: داخل تلك الغرفة الصغيرة المليئة بالأجهزة و نافذة بلورية صغيرة كنافذة السجن أفاق شخصين مختلفين و متشابهان في آن واحد فالأول الطبيب القاتل و الثاني مهندس قاتل، الأول قتل من أجل امرأة و الثاني قتل أربع نساء، و لكل منهما دافع نبيل على حد تعبير المهندس: إننا دائمانجد التبرير الجميل المعقول لجرائمنا. اختلفا فى الشعور فالطبيب يعرض كل الأمور على شعوره يحب، يكره، يحترم، يحتقر، لكن المهندس يرى أنهم فقدوا جنسيتهم الأرضية منذ انفصلوا عنها و بالتالي لا أرض فلا مشاعر و لا قانون و لا جوع و لا حتى صفته البشرية ربما يكون حقا آلة تأكل أقراص لا لجوع و لا لفراغ و لكن ليصنع شيئاً. ينظران من النافذة ليريا الموت يحيط بهما من كل جانب يتعجبان من نفسيهما: ما الذى أغرانا بهذه الرحلة المروعه! كنا سنلقى الموت مرة واحده أمام المشنقة فلم نفعل، و قبلنا ظان ناتي هنا لنلقى الموت كل دقيقة بصورة مختلفة، ماالذى أغرانا؟! إنها الواحد في المائة.
