A taste of political intrigue and international espionage for Poirot, all set in a girls’ school in England but the roots of the story are to be found in the Middle East. The story is a result of the same inspirations Agatha Christie found on her extensive travels, much like the novels The Man in the Brown Suit and They Came to Baghdad. Here we see them brought over to England. The story was adapted for TV in 2008, and starred David Suchet. Parts of the plot were altered, such as Poirot’s appearance early on in the story, but overall the adaptation remained fairly close to the original novel.
