رواية قدود زمردية هي رواية تدور أحداثها في مدينة حلب السورية وتستمد عنوانها من القدود وهي الموسيقا الكلاسيكية الحلبية والزمرد الذي يرمز لركام منازل النازحين. بطل الرواية هو الشاب صالح وهو طالب في الجامعة يدرس التاريخ ويعيش في صراع قصة حب مع جنية (هذا ما أخبره به المجتمع من حوله) ويعيش في هذا الصراع حتى يصارحه الطبيب النفسي أنه يعاني من اضطرابات عقلية وهي سبب الهلوسات التي تراوده وسوف يعود طبيعيا في حال التزامه بالعلاج تصور الرواية الرؤية الشرقية للمرض النفسي وتنقد الرؤيا السائدة بطريقة تشويقية حيث تبدأ الرواية دون التطرق للمرض النفسي وكأنها قصة حب بين جنية وانسان ولكنها مع الوقت توضح الموضوع وتنقد العادات والوصمة المرتبطة بالذهان. تخرج الرواية من دائرة المرض النفسي ليخرج بطلها صالح من المصح النفسي لمدينته حلب ليواجه الحرب والدمار الهائل في المدينة ويعيش قصة حب ضمن الحرب ويهاجر من مدينته بسبب الحرب ويعيش في المخيمات المخصصة للنازحين. ويبدأ رحلة للبحث عن أحلامها وطموحاته ويحاول اكمال تعليمه في ظل ظروف معيشية غير إنسانية.
