سرايا بنت الغول” هي رواية جاءت للكاتب إميل حبيبي من وحي أسطورة فلسطينية قديمة، قد تكون شائعة عربياً، عن فتاة محبة لاستطلاع، خطفها الغول في إحدى جولاتها الاستطلاعية اليومية. تبناها وأسكنها قصره المشيد في أعالي جبل. فذهب ابن عمها يبحث عنها في البراري. وكانت مشهورة بجدائل شعرها الطويلة والتي لم يمسها مقص. فكان يناديها، وهو يبحث عنها: “سرايا، يا بنت الغول، دلّي لي شعرك لأطول”! فسمعته: فدلّت له جديلة. فتعلق بها وصعد عليها، فدسّت مخدراً في شراب الغول، فنام لا حراك فيه، فانسلت مع ابن عمها وعادت إلى قريتها. وأما بطل هذه الرواية فقد مضى، في طول الرواية، يبحث عن فتاة كان أحبها في صباه، ثم أشغلته همومه اليومية عنها. فأهملها حتى عادت وظهرت له في شيخوخته. فمن هي “سرايا” هذه، ومن هو “الغول”؟
