عن الكتاب: مجموعة قصص قصيرة لإحسان عبد القدوس. صحفى و روائى و كاتب سياسى مصرى. ابن روز اليوسف مؤسسة روز اليوسف، مجلة روز اليوسف و مجلة صباح الخير. ابوه محمد عبد القدوس كان ممثل و مؤلف. تخرج من كلية حقوق فى جامعة القاهره سنة 1942. اشتغل محامى تحت التمرين فى مكتب المحامى ادوارد قصيرى. رئيس تحرير لمجلة روز اليوسف من 1945-1964. كان رئيس لمؤسسه اخبار اليوم‏ 1966-1974، و رئيس لمجلس إدارة مؤسسة الأهرام من مارس 1975 لمارس 1976. كاتب متفرغ فى جريدة الأهرام لحد وفاته فى يناير سنة 1990. تحولت اغلب قصصه لأفلام سينما. كان متجوز لواحظ إلهامى و له ولدين: محمد و احمد. بعد وفاته حاولت بعض الجهات اعادة انتاج قصصه مع عمل تعديلات رأتها ضرورية لكي تتماشى مع الترويج لمذهبهم و فكرهم- لكن أولاده فاجئوهم برفض التزوير ، لإنهم اعتبروه اعتداء على أبوهم، و إن موافقتهم على أى تغيير بتعتبر خيانة لذكرى أبوهم، لأغراض سياسية دنيوية عارضة، و ابنه محمد عبد القدوس رأى أن هذا يتعارض مع القيم التى يؤمن بها ، و إن هذا حتى بتعارض مع مفهومه هو للأفكار التى يروج لها الناس اللذين يريدون نسب قصص متعدلة لإحسان عبد القدوس بعد مماته. .
