About the Author: Ali Muhammad Muhammad al-Sallabi (born 1963, Benghazi, Libya) is a Libyan jurist, writer, historian, and political analyst. He has many books. He participated in the historical review committee and the text audit of the Omar series. Ali al-Sallabi and his brother Ismail were placed on terrorist lists in Saudi Arabia, Libya, the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain. He obtained an international degree (Bachelor’s) from the College of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion from the University of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, with an excellent grade, and was the first in his class in 1413/1414 AH corresponding to 1992/93AD. He received a master’s degree from Omdurman Islamic University – Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion, Department of Interpretation and Qur’anic Sciences in 1417 AH / 1996 AD. He then obtained a doctorate in Islamic studies with his book The Fiqh of Empowerment in the Noble Qur’an. Islamic University of Omdurman in Sudan in 1999.

إن الفِرق الضالة والطوائف المنحرفة عندما تنتشر في بلاد الإسلام تعرض أهله للخطر، فتشوه العقيدة وتنشر الفرقة، وتهدد الأمن والاستقرار وتشكك الناس في عقيدتهم، وتعيث في الأرض فساداً وخراباً، وتلك هي حال الخوارج المارقين الذين خرجوا على أمير المؤمنين علي رضي الله عنه وكفّروه وقتله نفرٌ منهم على حين بغتة، زاعمين أنهم يشرون أنفسهم بهذا الفعل ابتغاء مرضاة الله، وماعندهم في ذلك مستند ولا برهان، إن هو إلا اتباع الأهواء وطاعة الشياطين وفساد العقيدة. فالواجب على أمة الإسلام أن تحذر منهم، وتحارب مناهجهم التكفيرية، ويقوم العلماء والدعاة بواجبهم في نشر العقيدة الوسطية للدين الإسلامي السمح ليستقر الأمن والسلام، وتظهر أنوار السُّنة، وتخمد نيران البدعة والتطرف.
