About the Author: An Egyptian writer and novelist, he has published forty books for adults and twenty-seven books for children. He is considered one of the most important books of the sixties generation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Department of History, Ain Shams University, 1967 – Pre-Masters Diploma, 1968. Among his most prominent works is the series People in Kafr Askar (a series) based on a novel of the same name. He is considered the first Egyptian writer to have published a series of eight novels about the Egyptian countryside, all of which take place in the village of Kafr Askar. During his career, he presented many important works that monitored and addressed many of the political and social changes that occurred in the Egyptian society.
