About the Author: Adar Nafisi (born 1947) is an Iranian writer, professor at Johns Hopkins University. She holds a fellowship from Oxford University and worked in Iran as a professor of English literature at the University of Tehran, the Islamic Open University and Allameh Tabatabai University.
