About the Author: The Faculty of Science, Cairo University, awarded a master’s degree in science, specializing in theoretical nuclear physics, to researcher Hassan Mohamed Hassan Maridi, delegate of the Ministry of Higher Education, for his thesis entitled “Scattering of halo nuclei.” The thesis consisted of two parts. Study and analysis of the elastic scattering data of the lithium nucleus 11 on protons at different energies. The effect of density, medium, nucleon interaction potential and imaginary potential was studied, and a new formula for imaginary potential was developed.
