About the Author: Joseph Murphy was born on May 20, 1898 in a small town on the outskirts of County Cork, Ireland. But by the age of twenty he left the institute, where he found that his goal was to discover new ideas and gain new experiences, a goal that he could not achieve in Ireland, which is subject to strict religious influence, which led him to leave his family and move to America. With only five dollars in hand, Murphy arrived at the Ellis Island Immigrant Gathering Center. His first goal was to find a place to live, and his good fortune led him to find an inn that shared a room with a pharmacist at the local pharmacy. He wrote more than thirty books and died in December 1981. His wife, Dr. Jane Murphy, took charge of the institution he ran until her death.
