Picos e Vales book pdf download By Spencer Johnson

The 12 Factors of Business Success: Discover, Develop and Leverage Your Strengths book pdf download By Kevin Hogan

When I first read The 12 Factors of Business Success I was still running my Group Coaching practice. Iwas instantly struck by how it could significantly help Executives in all aspects of their lives – pleasedo not let the book title dissuade you. I was so enamoured with the lessons in 12 Factors that Istarted recommending it in place of Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People – the 12Factors can be applied in all aspects of our lives to make a profound difference. The authors are all High Achievers in there respective fields and the lessons covered in 12 Factors aredeep rooted in first hand experiences, ancient wisdom, and positive psychology (which incidentallyalso has its foundation in Aristotelian and Stoic teachings). 12 Factors aims to wake us out of aslumber of mediocrity and show us that if we sincerely want something, the potential to bring it intoreality already exists within us, as Thomas Edison stated “If we did all the things we are capable ofdoing, we would literally astound ourselves.” So how do we “astound ourselves?” The authorsremind us that it’s our `daily habits’ that need to change to get different results. The authors repeatedly show throughout 12 Factors that “You become your behavior not yourintentions and by doing so become not only a better human being but a higher achiever.”I have read this book 4 times in the last 8 months and each time it just grows better and better – more at […]

Can’t Get Through: Eight Barriers to Communication book pdf download By Kevin Hogan

This book provides an easy to comprehend method of improving one’s skills as a communicator. Stubbs and Hogan provide easily understood material and many real life examples of the reasons why people fail in communicating with each other. While there are many examples of the pitfalls in communicating in family, business and inter-personal life, the things that most people mess up on, they also provide numerous ways and suggestions to avoid them as well. Their examples are simple to put into practice yet extremely effective. All in all, I found this book to be entertaining as well as informative and would recommend it to all my friends and family. My only complaint is I would love it to be twice as long so I could glean even more life lessons from these two authors.
