About the Author: Al-Sayyid Sabiq is the author of the famous book Fiqh al-Sunnah and an Al-Azhar scholar who graduated from the Faculty of Sharia, contacted Imam Hassan al-Banna, and became a member of the Muslim Brotherhood since he was a student. He was born in the Menoufia Governorate, the center of Al-Bajour, the village of Istanha, in January 1915 AD corresponding to 1335 AH. He began writing in the weekly Muslim Brotherhood magazine a short article on the jurisprudence of purity, relying on books of hadith jurisprudence which are concerned with rulings, such as Subul Al-Salam by Al-Sanani Sharh (Bulugh Al-Maram) by Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar, and such as Neil Al-Awtar by Al-Shawkani Sharh (The Selection of the Good Ones from the hadiths of Sayyid Al-Akhbar) by Ibn Taymiyyah Grandfather and beneficiary of the book (The Pure Religion) by the scholar Sheikh Mahmoud Khattab Al-Subki, and from other different sources, such as Al-Mughni by Ibn Qudamah, Zad Al-Ma’ad by Ibn Al-Qayyim, and others. Sheikh Sayed adopted an approach based on exposing intolerance of doctrines while not criticizing them, relying on the evidence of the Qur’an, Sunnah and consensus, simplifying the phrase for the reader away from the complexity of terminology, the depth of explanations, the tendency to facilitate and facilitation for people, and permitting them to accept the permit, and so that people love religion and accept it He is also keen to explain the wisdom of the assignment, following the example of the Qur’an in explaining the rulings. He wrote many books, and the most important book of all is the Fiqh al-Sunnah book, which filled a void in the Islamic library in the field of Sunni jurisprudence, which is not linked to any of the sects, and for this reason it was accepted by the general educated people who were not brought up to adhere to a particular sect or fanaticism to it, and it was an easy source They refer to it whenever they need to review an issue. The book spread widely, and some people printed it without the author’s permission over and over again, as they do with other books that people request. He died on Sunday 23 Dhu al-Qa’dah 1420 AH corresponding to February 27, 2000 AD at the age of 85 years and was buried in his family’s burial grounds in the village of Istanha, where he was born.

Three Muslim Sages: Avicenna-Suhrawardi-Ibn Arabi book pdf download By Seyyed Hossein Nasr

THE “golden age, of Islam, insofar as the intensity of the religious and spiritual life and the realization of its ideals are concerned, must be identified with the lifetime of the Prophet Mul}.ammad- upon whom be peace- and the first Muslim community at Medina. But just as the seed sown in the ground grows into a tree and finally bears fruit only after the passage of time and. the gaining of nourishment from a suitable soil, so did the tree of Islamic civilization bear its intellectual and artistic fruits several centuries after its incep- tion, during which it was nourished by the legacy of the previous civilizations to which Islam became the heir. The arts and sciences, as well as philosophy and metaphysics, reached their zenith of formal perfection and became fully articulated only after Muslim society had become completely consolidated, and only after the tenets of the Islamic revela- tion had been realized in concrete and tangible forms so as to make the new civilization distinctly Islamic, even when elements of non-Islamic origin had been incorporated into it.

The Garden of Truth: The Vision and Promise of Sufism, Islam’s Mystical Tradition book pdf download By Seyyed Hossein Nasr

The headlines are filled with the politics of Islam, but there is another side to the world’s fastest-growing religion. Sufism is the poetry and mysticism of Islam. This mystical movement from the early ninth century rejects worship motivated by the desire for heavenly reward or the fear of punishment, insisting rather on the love of God as the only valid form of adoration. Sufism has made significant contributions to Islamic civilization in music and philosophy, dance and literature. The Sufi poet Rumi is the bestselling poet in America. But in recent centuries Sufism has been a target for some extremist Islamic movements as well as many modernists. The Garden of Truth presents the beliefs and vision of the mystical heart of Islam, along with a history of Sufi saints and schools of thought. In a world threatened by religious wars, depleting natural resources, a crumbling ecosystem, and alienation and isolation, what has happened to our humanity? Who are we and what are we doing here? The Sufi path offers a journey toward truth, to a knowledge that transcends our mundane concerns, selfish desires, and fears. In Sufism we find a wisdom that brings peace and a relationship with God that nurtures the best in us and in others. Noted scholar Seyyed Hossein Nasr helps you learn the secret wisdom tradition of Islam and enter what the ancient mystics call the “garden of truth.” Here, liberate your mind, experience peace, discover your purpose, fall in love with the Divine, and find your true, best self.
