About the Author: Orazio Svilto is Professor of Quantum Electronics at the Polytechnic Institute of Milan and Director of the Center for Quantum Electronics of the Italian National Research Council. His research covered a wide range of activities in the field of laser physics and quantum electronics, starting with the beginning of these disciplines. This activity includes generation and application of ultra-high frequency pulses, development of laser resonance and mode selection techniques, applications of lasers in biology and medicine, and development of solid-state lasers. Professor Svelto has authored more than 150 scientific papers and his research has been the subject of more than 50 invited papers and international conferences. He served as Program Chair of the Ninth International Conference on Quantum Electronics (1976), as Chair of the European Program Committee for CLEO ’85 and CLEO ’90, and was General Co-Chair of the First CLEO-Europe Conference (1994). He is an elected member of the Italian “Accademia dei XL” and an IEEE Fellow.

About the Author: Ahmed Hassan Zewail (February 26, 1946 – August 2, 2016) is an Egyptian-American chemist who won the 1999 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his research in the field of femtochemistry, where he invented a microscope that imaged laser beams in a femtosecond time, and thus molecules can be seen during Chemical reactions, and he is considered the pioneer of femtochemistry, and the title of “Father of femto chemistry”, he is a professor of chemistry and professor of physics at the California Institute of Technology. He died in 2016.
In it, he explains the use of electron microscopy in the microscopic study to obtain many four-dimensional information compared to other scientific tools.

احلركة الدورية هي حركة يعود فيها اجلسم إىل موقع حمدد بعد فرتة زمنية ثابتة. فمثال حركة األرض حول الشمس هي حركة دورية حيث إن األرض تعود إىل موقع حمدد كل فرتة حمددة من الزمن. كام ان القمر يعود إىل نفس موقعه بالنسبة لألرض كل فرتة حمددة من الزمن. إضافة إىل ذلك هناك الكثري من األمثلة ألنظمة تتحرك حركة دورية، فحركة اجلزئيات يف املواد الصلبة تتذبذب حول موضع اتزاهنا يف حركة دورية مستمرة، كذلك االمواج الكهرومغناطيسية مثل أمواج الضوء وأمواج الرادار وأمواج الراديو تنتترش يف الفراغ من خالل تذبذب جماهلا الكهرومغناطييس، كذلك التيار الكهريب املرتدد واجلهد الكهريب والشحنة الكهربية تتغري بصفة دورية مع الزمن. هناك حالة خاصة من احلركة الدورية حتدث لألنظمة املكيانيكية تكون فيها القوة امليكانيكية تتناسب طرديا مع موضع اجلسم بالنسبة لنقطة اتزان ما. اذا كانت هذه القوة دائام يف اجتاه نقطة اإلتزان فإنه يف هذه احلالة تعرف باسم احلركة التوافقية البسيطة motion harmonic simple وهذا ما سوف نركز الدراسة عليه يف هذا اجلزء.
