Author: ghayib tiemat farman
About the Author: An Iraqi novelist and translator, born in Baghdad. He contracted tuberculosis at an early age, so he traveled to Egypt for treatment to complete his studies at the Faculty of Arts. His presence in Egypt allowed him to have direct contact with the Cairo cultural reality. He attended the councils of the most famous Egyptian writers, the Zayat Council, the Salama Musa Council, and the Naguib Mahfouz Council every Friday afternoon in the opera café. He practiced writing poetry first… but failed to do so. Since the mid-fifties of the twentieth century, he has worked in literary journalism. Ghaib Tohma Farman summarizes the stages of his literary life as follows: 1 – The stage of the Arab heritage: poetry, prose, books and the four books that Ibn Khaldun used to consider as origins and others as sequels and branches: the writer’s literature, the complete, the statement and the explanation, and the book of anecdotes. 2 – The translation movement that started during the Second World War from Egypt or Syria plays to the tunes of French, English and Russian literature. 3- Going to Egypt during a period that he prepared as one of the most active times for the literary movement in this country. للغروب فتنة لدى السيد معروف لا تعادلها فتنة في الدنيا كلها”. هكذا تبدأ رواية “آلام السيد معروف”… بداية بسيطة، ولكن مع تتابع صفحات الرواية وتطوراتها تبدو تلك البداية سطوراً غامضة أو ساذجة، وربما موجعة، وينبغي لنا أن نتابع هذا السيد معروف، غير المعروف إلا عند نفسه، وعند قلة من معارفه غير الموجودين في الرواية، وعلى رأسهم مبدعه غائب طعمة فرمان العارف بالسيد معروف، أكثر من السيد معروف ذاته؟ … ويتابع (فرمان) غروب السيد معروف، كما يتابعه معروف قائلاً: “… أما هذا الغروب الساجي فيظل يطوي الآماد، ويعانق الآفاق، ويظل يلازمها الى ما لا نهاية، هارباً من ظلامية الليل التي كان السيد معروف يكرهها كرهاً شديداً، فيود لو يلاحقه الى الأبد. معانقاً مثله الآفاق، دون أن يشهد الليل الكئيب” حتى يبلغ به الأمر أن (يردد، أحياناً، مستغفراً الله عن تحريفه لكلامه المنزَّل: “ولكم في الغروب حياة يا أولي الألباب”). عالَم باطني خاص إن الرواية تقول لنا، من بدايتها، بأن السيد معروف أيقن بأن لا شروق في حياته، ولا راحة، ولا سعادة، فلجأ الى الغروب إكسيراً يتابع به الحياة مع أمه المقعدة بسبب ضعف بصرها، وأختيه: الكبرى العانس، والصغرى التي عنّسوها بسبب عنوس الكبرى، وهو العانس الثالث بسبب وجع معدته الدائم، والتجائه للغروب ولا شيء سوى الغروب. إن للسيد معرف عالمه الباطني الخاص الذي يشيع في روحه الارتياح مثلما يؤجج الآلام والأوجاع. وحين يفلت من باطنه شيء الى لسانه فإنه يسبب له المتاعب. ذلك أنه ـ وبسبب موهبته في تدبيج الرسائل والكتب الرسمية ـ صار قوالاً أكثر منه فعالاً، وانه ليمارس ذلك بينه وبين نفسه. فهو مع روحه دائم الخوض في الصياغات، وأبيات الشعر والأمثال المشهورة، وما يحيط بها، أو يلامسها من تحريفات، وما يدخله هو عليها من إضافات أو استنتاجات.، وهو دائم الخوض في ذلك، في لاوعيه، وفي وعيه، وفي كلامه الظاهر أحياناً (وسيورده ذلك المهالك بعد حين) ولا فعل له سوى تدبيج الرسائل والكتب الرسمية، ومعالجة أحلامه حول الغروب وانتقاله على كل البلدان دون توقف، ولا تعفن… إنه يناجي نفسه في ذلك فيقول: “شيء في الغروب شجي وبهيج وفاتن وعنود فيه سحر الديمومة، وفتنة الأزل ومطال الأجل، لا مثل الشروق الخاطف سرعان ما يسلم زمامه الى شمس لاهبة، وهواء وغر…
