Of course, the conditions were harsh and difficult, and he felt the bitterness of life and the hardship of living. He used to travel from Sheikh Miskeen to Damascus at night to arrive in the morning in order to perform exams, exams, and return. He was enjoying a good sleep during that period.

يعد كتاب مقاتل الطالبيين “لأبي فرج الأصفهاني” كنز من كنوز الأدب والتاريخ ترجم فيه أبو الفرج للشهداء من ذرية أبي طالب منذ عصر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى الوقت الذي شرع يؤلف فيه كتابه، وهو جمادى الأول سنة ثلاثة عشر وثلاثمائة سواء أكان المترجم له قتيل الحرب أو صريع الحرب أو صريع السم في السلم، وسواء أكان مهلكه في السجن أن في مهربة أثناء تواريه من السلطان. وقد رتب مقاتلهم في السياق الزمني ولم يرتبها على حسب أقدارهم في الفضل ومنازلهم في المجد. واقتصر على من كان نقي السيدة قويم المذهب، وأعرض عن ذكر من عدل عن سنن آبائه وحاد عن مذاهب أسلافه وكان مصرعه في سبيل أطماعه وجزاء ما اجترحت يداه من عيث وإفساد. وقد صنف أبو الفرج أخبارهم، ونظم سيرهم، ورصف مقاتلهم، وجلى قصصهم بأسلوبه الساحر، وبيانه الآسر وطريقته الفذة في حسن العرض، ومهارته الفائقة في سبك القصة، وحبك نسجها، وائتلاف أصباغها وألوانها، وتسلسل فكرتها، ووحدة ديباجتها، وتساوق نصاعتها، على اختلاف رواتها وتعدد روايتها وتباين طرقها، حتى لتبدو وكأنها بنات فكر واحد وهذا هو سر الصنعة في أدب أبي الفرج الأصفهاني. ولئن كان أبو الفرج قد بلغ غاية التصوير والتعبير في كتاب الأغاني لأن موضوعه يلتئم ومزاجه الفني، ويتفق ومسلكه في الحياة ويقع من عقله وفكره وذوقه، وعاطفته موقع الرضا والقبول، فإنه كذلك قد بلغ غاية التصوير والتعبير في مقاتل الطالبيين، لأن موضوعه حبيب إلى نفسه، عظيم المكانة من قبله لأنه وإن كان أموي النسب فإنه شيعي الهوى. يعطف على الدولة الأموية بالأندلس ويكرم وفادة رسلها إليه، ويختصها بثمار قريحته ونتائج فطنته، ويؤلف الكتب ثم يرسل بها إليهم فتظهر عندهم قبل ظهورها في المشرق بل لا يكاد المشرق يعرف، عن أكثرها إلا اسمه وقد عد الخطيب البغدادي من هذه الكتب أحد عشر كتاباً. كان موضوع مقاتل الطالبيين إذاً محبباً إلى نفس أبي الفرج فحشد له همته، وجند روايته، وصنعه على عينيه فجاء جامعاً لأشتات محاسنهم، وصار عمدة لكل من أتى بعده وقصد قصده. وبالنظر للأهمية التي يحتلها هذا الكتاب فقد اهتم “السيد أحمد صقر” بتحقيقه، فاعتنى بمراجعة نصوص الكتاب على الكتب التي نقل منها أبو الفرج، أو التي نقلت عنه، وأثبت ما بينها من خروق، وفي طليعة هذه الكتب، تاريخ الطبري، وشرح نهج البلاغة لابن أبي الحديد والإرشاد للشيخ المفيد، كما حرص على أن يثبت في أول كل ترجمة كل ما يعرف من مراجع عرضت للمترجم له بأي لون من ألوان الذكر، ثم قان بصنع فهارس للكتاب مفصلة للرواة، والأعلام، والجماعات، والفرق، والأماكن، والأيام، والشعر، والمصادر، والتراجم.

About the Author: Mohamed Lotfy Gomaa: a writer, translator, and novelist, he was a polymath, fluent in many languages, and one of the leading Egyptian lawyers and political activists of his time. At the beginning of his life, he joined the Coptic School in Tanta, then spent four years at the Amiri School, from which he obtained his primary certificate, then he moved to Cairo to obtain his secondary certificate from the Khedive School, and then traveled there to study, after which he obtained his degree in American philosophy, as well as to Beirut. Teachers school, and worked as a teacher for three years at the beginning of his life. He received his doctorate degree from the Faculty of Law in Lyon in France in 1912, after which he taught criminal law at the Egyptian University. A close friendship and agreement in political visions developed between him and the two national leaders, Mustafa Kamel and Muhammad Farid. Which prompted him without hesitation to join their side in the National Party, and their participation in the political struggle against colonialism, and his struggle was not limited to the kinetic level represented in political work and party activity, but it also extended to most of the Arab journalistic and intellectual ideas that he wrote in the intellectual and intellectual work that he wrote as well. Released in his time. He was an advocate of civilized dialogue and cooperation between nations in the field of work, culture and science. He was one of the advocates of free education, and demanded the establishment of social museums and memorials.
