الحمد لله الذي حفظ لغتنا العربية من التهديم ، وذلك بما جاء به من القرآن العظيم ، المنزل على واسطة العقد النظيم ، سيدنا محمد عليه افضل الصلاة والتسليم . ثم الصلاة والسلام على أفضل الخلق أجمعين ، وعلى آله وصحبه المفضلين بإحسان إلى يوم الدين . اما بعد كتاب « الألغاز النحوية » لمؤلفة الإمام جمال الدين أبي محمد عبد الله بن هشام بن يوسف الأنصاري ، من أهم وأعظم الكتب التي تناولت هذا اللون من الغموض النحوي ، وعلى الرغم من صغر حجمه ، فقد طرق معظم الأمور التي قد تفيد الباحث في معرفة مستعجمها وغرابة لفظها ، وغموض معانيها . ولقد ولع العرب منذ القديم ، بهذا اللون ، وقد تفرع إلى فرعين أساسيين : ١- الألغاز النحوية : وهي التي تصيب الناحية الإعرابية للجمل والكلمات والألفاظ ، كرفع المنصوب ، ونصب المرفوع ، وغير ذلك من العلامات الإعرابية ، من مثل « لقد قال عبد الله … » و « أقول لخالدة …. ۲ – الألغاز الشعرية : وهي تعد كأحاجي يستعملها الشعراء والبلغاء لوصف شيء ما دون ذكر اسمه ، وفي عصر ابن هشام نشط مثل هذا ، ومثال ذلك قوله : « أكله النهار .. » فقد يستغرب القاريء لأول وهلة ، كيف يأكل الإنسان النهار ثم لا يلبث أن يزول هذا الغموض عندما نرى أن النهار ها هنا يقصد به فرخ الحباري وهو نوع من الطيور . وقد صنف المتقدمون من النحاة تصانيف عدة حول هذا الموضوع ، فكتب الأصمعي كتابة أسماه « معاني الشعر » ، وكذلك الف ابن قتيبة « معاني الشعره ، وابن دريد الأزدي « الملاحن » وغير ذلك الكثير .
