فخاخ الرائحة” رواية ليست ككل الروايات سواءً من ناحية السرد أم من ناحية المعنى، كل فصل فيها ينم عن وقائع، وأحداث منفصلة، ويروي تفاصيل مختلفة ولكن ما يلبث الفصل أن يرتبط بسابقه بكلمة أو بمعنى تعيد القارئ إلى أحضان الفصل السابق لتأكيد له أنه ما زال يقرأ نفس الرواية ويشاهد نفس الأبطال الذين شوهتهم الطبيعة وأيدي البشر ورسمت بهم عاهات تحملوا وزرها كل حياتهم وقاسوا منها الأمرين حتى أنهم من فرط معاناتهم حاولوا الهروب حتى من ذاتهم. ولكن هذا أيضاً كان مستحيلاً بطل هذه الرواية عنى مرارة الحرمات من عضو حساس في جسده وهذا ما دفعه للهروب من مدينة إلى أخرى لربما وجد فيها من يتفهم مشكلة ولكن وفي أثناء سفره، تقع يده وبالصدفة على ملف أخضر يقرأ فيه هموم آخر وأخطر ومع ذلك لم يهرب وإنما قاوم ودافع عن وجوده وكل ما فعله دون وحكى جمع كل ما يتعلق بقضيته لتكون ذكرى يعود إليها كلما غابت عن باله مصائبه.
