“In diesen Vorlesungen versuche ich meine praktischen Erfahrungen in der Psychoanalyse mit der bisherigen Theorie zu vereinigen. Es ist eigentlich meine Stellungnahme zu den Leitsätzen, welche mein verehrter Lehrer Sigmund Freud aus jahrzehntelanger Erfahrung herausgearbeitet hat. Da mein Name mit der Psychoanalyse schon lange verknüpft ist und ich auch schon längst dem bekannten Pauschalurteil über die Psychoanalyse verfallen bin, so wird man sich erstaunt fragen, wieso ich erst jetzt mich über meine theoretische Stellungnahme erkläre.
