About the Author: An Iraqi writer, born in Baghdad in 1970. He belongs to the Omari family in Mosul, whose lineage goes back to the Caliph Omar Ibn Al-Khattab. His father is a well-known Iraqi historian and judge, Khairy Al-Omari. A dentist graduated from the University of Baghdad in 1993, but he was known as an Islamic writer through books that combined a modern approach in presenting topics and a distinguished literary style. He was chosen in 2010 to be the intellectual figure honored by Dar Al-Fikr in its annual tradition, in which prominent figures such as Abdul Wahab Al-Masiri, Al-Bouti and Al-Zuhaili were honored. Thus, Al-Omari is the youngest of these honored people, as he was chosen before he reached the age of forty. Al-Omari’s works are a quantitative and qualitative addition to the thought of the Renaissance, of which Malik Bennabi is considered one of the most important pioneers. He was able to carry the discourse of the Renaissance to a broader category than the one directed by Malik Bennabi because of its distinctive language and clear statement, in addition to his reliance on the Qur’anic rooting of the Renaissance made his ideas more acceptable.

ان ازدواجية الشخصية التي هي جزء من حاضرنا وماضينا ، يخبرنا بها القرآن الكريم ، وهي بوصلة تؤشر مرة الى اننا في عصر الجاهلية ومرة الى اننا في عصر الاسلام ، ولو تعمقنا في الكشف عن ماحصل في الماضي وما يحصل في الحاضر نجد كيف تم اختطاف الاسلام كقيم ومعاملة وانسانية وسلام الى تعصب والغاء الآخر ودماء وكراهية وعدم الوفاء واغتصاب حقوق الاخرين والتعدي على الحرمات والفساد الاجتماعي والاداري والرشوة و و و ، هل يمكن ان تجتمع كل هذه الظواهر اللاانسانية في الانسان المسلم وتجده يقوم بالفرائض وكانه في اعلى درجات التقوى ، هذه الازدواجيية التي حملها الانسان المسلم من الماضي عندما تم اختطاف الاسلام كقيم ومعاملة ومحبة وسلام . لكن التفاعل مع القرآن، لا يقتصر حتمًا عى تحريك غدد الدمع الذي نتخيله المظهر الأهم لخشوع القلب. التفاعل مع القرآن، الذي أنزل أصلًا لقوم يعقلون، يجب أن يؤثر في العقل، في الفكر، في منهج التفكير. في طريقة التعامل مع مفردات الحياة اليومية ومجرداتها. ص49.
