تحكي هذا القصة الممتعة عن التاجر البغدادي «علي كوجيا» الذي رأى في المنام شيخًا ينصحه بالحج، فعزم الرحيل بعد أن باع كل ما لديه واستودع الفائض من المال عند صديق له، بعد أن خبأ هذا المال في جرة ووضع فوقه الزيتون وأخبر صديقه أن هذا الزيتون أمانة عنده حتى يرجع من سفره، فماذا سيحدث لـ«علي كوجيا» في سفره؟ وهل سيحفظ صديقه الأمانة؟ هذا ما ستبينه لنا بقية أحداث القصة.
