Author: Adham Al-Sharqawi
About the Author: Adham Al-Sharqawi is a Palestinian writer born and raised in the Lebanese city of Tyre. He holds a teacher’s diploma from UNESCO, a diploma in physical education from UNESCO, a BA in Arabic literature from the Lebanese University in Beirut, and a MA in Arabic literature. He worked for the Qatari newspaper Al-Watan. He began writing on the satirical forum platform, then published his first book in 2012, entitled Morning Conversations. He publishes his writings under the pseudonym “Qass bin Saeda”. He is married and has a son and three daughters.

يحكى ان حكايا امرأة عجوز كتبتها بشفتيها الأميتين على دفتر ذاكرتي فكبرت بها و معها ترددت كثيرا قبل الباس الكلمات ثوبا من الفصاحة اذ ان اللغة المحكية جزء لا يتجزأ من الحكاية ثم أني قررت ان اكسوها حرفا عربيا من غير سوء معتقدا بذلك أني أطلقها من قفص صدري و ذاكرتي الى فضاء العربية الرحب فأنا هنا لا اكتب الحكايا بقدر ما احررها،اشرككم ببعض جدتي ،معتذرا أني ما استطعت ان احمل الكلمات صوتها الذي مازال يدق في أذني كناقوس تحركه رياح الحنين.
