He has an experience in writing a television script entitled (The Air Sinbad) with director Hatem Ali. The Syrian writer Khalil Sweileh won the Naguib Mahfouz Prize for Fiction Literature for the year 2009 for his novel “Waqat Al-Hob”, to be translated, and published by the Publishing Department of the American University in 2010 and distributed in both Cairo and New York. and London

بشكلٍ ما، فإن هذه النصوص كُتبتْ من موقع القارئ في المقام الأول، بمعنى أنها لا تخلو من طيشٍ ونزوات ومصادفات. أن تقع على كتاب في غير أوانه، وإذا به يقودك إلى ألفة غير مسبوقة، إلى اضطراب وريبة وشكوك، إلى ارتواء وشبع، كما لو أنك حيال وليمة دسمة من الكلمات والصور والنبوءات. تلك الحيرة بين رفوف المكتبة، والافتتان بمؤلف، بنسّاخ، بمخترع بلاغة، بخطاطة ملغّزة. ما كنت تظنه طي النسيان، يبزغ فجأة، من دهليزٍ غامض، بعبارة، بانخطاف، بدهشة، بعواءٍ مكتوم، مثل حياة موازية تنمو في الجوار، وصولاً إلى لحظة الاشتباك مع حياتك الشخصيّة مباشرة، ما يجعلك ججسداً برأسين في عملية ضخّ متبادلة لأعاجيب المخيّلة الكونيّة. أذهبُ إلى خلاء الكتب بهيئة كائن خائب، في دروبٍ متعرّجة نحو كهوفٍ وهضابٍ وسهوبٍ، على أمل أن أقع في فخّ مؤلفٍ مجهول، مفتوناً بدور الطريدة لا الصيّاد. هي سيرة ناقصة للكتب إذاً، غير قابلة للاكتمال، أو التشريح النهائي، سيرة ضبابية بمرآة مغبّشة، إذ لطالما ظننت أن مغامرة ما، خاضها “السندباد” وقعت سهواً من يد النسّاخ، النسّاج، فلم تروها “شهرزاد”، وينبغي أن أفتّشَ عنها في متاهةِ كتبٍ أخرى، مثل لعنةٍ أبديّة، في تجوَال طليق يطيح هندسة رفوف المكتبة، رأساً على عقب!
