About the Author: Dante Alighieri (Florence June 1, 1265 – September 14, 1321), commonly known as Dante, was an Italian poet from Florence. During the Middle Ages, the modern Italian language base. They are one of the main works of the transition from medieval to Renaissance thought. It is considered a masterpiece of Italian literature and one of the pinnacles of world literature. Dante is known in Italian literature as the supreme poet. Dante is also called the “father of the Italian language”. He enthusiastically participated in the political struggle of his time, and was banished from his hometown. He was an active supporter of Italian unity. He did the Latin treatise De Monarchian, in 1310, a detailed exposition of his political ideas, including the need for the existence of the Holy Roman Empire and the separation of church and state. He fought against the Ghibellines of Arezzo. But Dante’s date of birth is still not known precisely, although it is generally believed to be around 1265. This can be deduced from biographical allusions found in La Vita Nova.
