About the Author: A Syrian writer and writer, born in 1936 in the village of Haseen al-Bahr in Tartous Governorate, where he received his primary education, then joined the Educational Teachers Institute in the city of Aleppo, where he continued his studies and graduated in 1954, then moved to the city of Damascus and communicated there with many writers and intellectuals. He began writing in daily and monthly periodicals, and the Lebanese magazine Al-Adab was the most prominent platform in which he wrote his first stories, which were published in the Hakayat Al-Nawras Al-Muhajir collection in 1968. Haider Haidar is one of the founders of the Arab Writers Union in Damascus in 1968, and was a member of its executive office. Haider Haidar published the Al-Wamda collection in 1970 among a group of books that were the first publications of the Union. In 1970, he was seconded to Algeria to participate in the Arabization Revolution or the Cultural Revolution as the Algerians call it, as a teacher in the city of Anaya, while continuing to write and publish in Arab periodicals. “بعد عملية ضرب مقر الحاكم العسكري في نابلس، والتي نفذت بقرار فردي وثائر، انطوت صفحة مهتزة من حياة نافذ علام، الحكيم العربي الذي يداوي الناس بالأعشاب والذي يخطط وينظم سراً ثم يقوم بالتنفيذ استجابة لرغباته ولتوجهات أقواس الغضب والدم التي تحتاج أعماقه، صار اسمه الحركي “الجبل”. وبعد أن كشف العدو حركاته وعلاقته بالعمل الفدائي المسلح وبث العيون لرصده حياً أو ميتاً. سكن الجبال والكهوف زمناً وقام بعدة عمليات خاصة، وما كان ينزل عيناً بوس إلا ليلاً بعد التأكد من خلوها من الخطر. لقد سمته إسرائيل: ذئب جبال نابلس الكاسر. وقال عنه الحاكم العسككري الذي نجا من قنبلته: لم يخدعني رجل في حياتي كما خدعتني هذه الأفعى. خلال شهر استطاع أن يعيد تنظيم مجموعته وزيادتها إلى ستة عناصر جديدة، مركز تدريبها في منطقة جماعين. وخلال هذه الفترة أقام علاقات مع مجموعة أخرى تشكلت في الداخل من الفدائيين الضفة أو من الذين هربوا عبر الأغوار من الأردن بعد الـ67″ بأسلوب ميلو درامي واضح، يروي “حيدر حيدر” في كتابه “التموجات” قصتان مأخوذتان من واقع مجتمعه المناضل متوقفاً عند محطات محددة من حياة بطلاه المناضلين اللذين استطاع من خلالهما تخطي حدوداً وحروباً لم يستطيع غيره تخطيها لو عبر الأوراق فيها يروي تفاصيل اعتقالات حدثت، حروب خيالية تم النصر فيها وفي غمرة هذيانه، يتحدث عن الحشاشين واللوطيين الذين حاولوا الإيقاع ببطلاه في أزمة الأحياء الشعبية.
