The novel “Only the Pomegranate Tree” about the Arab Institute for Studies and Publishing, Beirut, 2010. Diwan of poetry entitled “One Night in All Cities” about Dar Al-Jamal, 2010. A novel, Maryam, about the massacre of the Church of Deliverance, which was nominated for the Arab Booker Prize and was shortlisted for Dar Al-Jamal for the year 2012. Translations: Ijam was translated by author Rebecca Johnson and published by City Lights in San Francisco in 2007. A group of his poems were translated into English and published by Harper Mountain Press in 2007. His novel “Ijam” has been translated and published in Norwegian, German, Portuguese and Italian.

عن الرواية: عُثر على مخطوطة كتبها أحد السجناء خالية تماماً من النقاط. وقد طُلب من أحد “الرفاق” تنقيطها وطبعها على الآلة الكاتبة. ووُجد أن النص عبارة عن خواطر غير متسلسلة واستذكارات غير منطقية وبذاءات واستخفاف بمقولات الأب القائد وبقيم الحزب والثورة… تنطلق أحداث الرواية لكاتبها العراقي الأمريكي، سنان أنطون، من السلطة القمعية التي فرضها “حزب البعث” في العراق، في ظل حكم صدام حسين. بطل الرواية هو طالب مسيحي يدرس اللغة الإنكليزية وآدابها في الجامعة، ويتعرض لمضايقات من أعضاء الحزب المنضوين في اتحاد الطلبة العراقيين نتيجة مواقفه المعارضة للنظام، وهو ما ينتهي به معتقلًا. صدرت الرواية عام 2003 عن دار الآداب للنشر والتوزيع في العراق، وتُرجمت إلى الإنكليزية والنرويجية والبرتغالية والألمانية والإيطالية.
